If the current lockdown ends on Sunday 8th August Busy Fingers will open at 8.30 am on Monday 9th August, as the Show Day holiday has been postponed to a later date by the government.
We will not have any pickups on Monday but you can ring to arrange a pickup later.
We will be accepting donations being dropped off.
IF LOCKDOWN CONTINUES PAST SUNDAY WE WILL NOT OPEN UNTIL IT ENDS.

Management has decided to conduct a trial until Christmas. .
Deliveries of purchases will incur a fee of $20.
Free Pickup Service will occur on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
THIS TRIAL WILL CONTINUE UNTIL CHRISTMAS AND THEN A FINAL DECISION WILL BE MADE IN THE NEW YEAR WHETHER TO CONTINUE ON A PERMANENT BASIS.

SHOP OPENING

The staff & committee of Busy Fingers are pleased to advise that the shop will be opening on Monday 18th May at 8.30am for limited hours.
We will open on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings for 4 hours and will re-assess this during the week, it all depends on how quickly we can arrange our volunteer roster for the following weeks.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
Of course, we will be adhering to the distancing regulations and we will have floor markings in place. We are asking customers to turn LEFT as they enter the front door and use the HAND SANITISER ON THE WALL first, then continue through the shop starting at the electrical and kitchenware, through the furniture towards the clothing and Bric-a-Brac. We will only be allowing 30 people in the shop at a time and this will include our shop staff.
PLEASE DO NOT STOP AND TALK TO FRIENDS WHO YOU MIGHT MEET IN THE SHOP AS WE WILL HAVE TO ASK YOU TO LEAVE THE SHOP IMMEDIATELY.
We welcome the drop off of donations and our gates will be open from 7.15 am. We will be doing pick ups but all items MUST be put outside the house as our drivers will not be allowed inside homes to bring items out at the present time. So if you require a pick up please call 34081014 and make sure you have the items outside for collection. We will also do deliveries, but once again we will have to leave the purchases on your patio/garage.
The staff are presently rearranging the clothing racks so we will have plenty of winter clothes available for purchase as well as some racks of summer items.
VOLUNTEERS We have limited places available for volunteers, so if you wish to join us please call Sonia on 3408 1014 or drop into the shop to speak to her.
THE FUTURE
We can only remain open if all our customers adhere to the rules, we would like to get back to normal as soon as possible, so please keep your distance from other customers, and if you have children with you please KEEP THEM WITH YOU and do not allow them to wander around alone or play with the toys, so they also are adhering to distancing.
Please come and shop and leave as soon as you are finished so that others can enter the shop.
We look forward to opening up and seeing our valued customers again.
CLOSURE

The shop will be closing at 12 o’clock on Saturday 28th March due to the Coronavirus. We will not be taking any donations Friday or Saturday as we do not have the staff to sort them.
We have tried to remain open as long as possible but it has become time to ensure the safety of our staff and many volunteers.
Currently we are looking at remaining closed until the end of April and will reassess the situation then. If there is a change in government information or circumstances and we can open before the end of April we will.
Our gates will be locked for the duration and we ask that no donations are left on the footpath as this is council land and it will be treated as dumping.
We hope that the island residents remain healthy and that we can open again soon. As soon as we know when we can open it will be put on this site.
